Who We AreProject Prevention, a 501(c)3 non-profit, was created because the co-founders identified a need in the community and became solution orientated. Our primary drive and motivating force is evoking change through behavior and exposure. The organization has a "village” vibe with a philosophy to save Chicago's youth through building character and resources.
Our VisionOur vision is to create a community resource center (the village) that supports, uplifts, and empowers youth. Project Prevention evokes change in Chicago’s communities, exposing its youth to a world of opportunities and possibilities. Using the Strength Based Model, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Curriculum Based Assessment & Instruction, clinicians and educational liaisons focus on positive attributes of youth as a guide to working on their deficits.
